To get started
1- Call Makah Recovery Services at 360.645.2461 to make an appointment for an initial assessment. We also have walk-ins available on Fridays
2- Visit Makah Recovery Services at 100 Wellness Way to complete your intake paperwork. We'll check your insurance, ask for copies of any court orders, and get some initial information about your drug and alcohol use. This can sometimes be done on the same day as your assessment- be sure to check with the MRS front desk.
3- Come to your assessment appointment. This will involve talking with a counselor about your drug and/or alcohol abuse, learn about medication options, and begin to make a treatment plan. Then we will help you set up a clinic appointment.
4- Your clinic appointment will entail a basic health exam and you will work with a prescriber to decide on a medication (naltrexone or buprenorphine) that best matches your needs.
5- Follow up at Makah Recovery Services to continue with your treatment plan.

You can expect to spend more time with us at the beginning, but as you progress, less time will be required. Also, please remember that medication is only part of the treatment. Counseling, group meetings, and social activities are all part of the program too. These other aspects of the program can help you learn about addiction, work through challenges, and build your strength to stay well!
