Neah Bay Dental Services

The Sophie Trettevick Indian Health Center Dental team provides comprehensive care for the whole family. We hope to partner with you for a lifetime of healthy smiles.

The Dental Services We Provide Include:

Preventative:
Exams
Radiographics and panoramic radiographs
Cleanings
Topical fluoride applications
Silver Diamine fluoride applications to arrest cavities

Endodontics:
Root canal therapy

Periodontics:
Deep cleanings
Gum surgery

Other Services:
Night guards
Sports guards
Sleep Apnea appliances
*Implant treatments are not provided by STIHC or funded by PRC
Restorative:
Fillings
Crowns
Bridges
Removable:
Dentures
Partial Dentures
Denture adjustments
Denture relines

Surgical:
Tooth extraction
3rd molar (wisdom tooth) *some patients may need a referral to oral surgeon

Orthodontics:
Space maintainers
Palatal expanders
Referred care for orthodontic treatment *patient selection based on case severity

Orthodontic Policy:
The Makah Tribal Council has approved funding for referred orthodontic services. The funding provides orthodontic treatment for up to 10 youth (under 21 years old) and 1 adult per year.

  • Only Makah Tribal members living on the Makah Reservation are eligible
  • Parents of children seeking orthodontic services who also have access to private dental insurance must enroll their child on their dental insurance plan
  • All patients interested in orthodontic services must: o Undergo a comprehensive exam at STIHC dental
    • Complete all primary dental care needs (fillings, crowns, etc.)
    • Plan to remain in Clallam County for at least 2 years
  • Patients will be approved for orthodontic services based on need. Patients with the most severe problems with bad bite and tooth crowding will receive priority.
